  9. BIOS setup for Parallel Port PC Cameras.

  1. (CP-36T) Why did I get "the actual file cannot be found on the server" error message when I tried to install the driver for CP-36T on Windows 95?

  2. There are 3 parallel modes on computer: SPP, EPP, and ECP. It is necessary to adopt "ECP" mode. Simply:

    a) Restart Computer
    b) Press "DELETE" button and go to the "BIOS SET UP" screen
    c) Find "Integrated Peripherals" and get in
    d) Find "onboard Parallel Mode" and make sure it's in "ECP" mode
    e) Escape, save the change, and start your applications.

  3. We encountered the mouse hang-up problem in some systems. It was the mouse driver that caused this problem. We will fix this problem using Microsoft's driver and the revised driver is downloadable from our website.

  4. The component composition of CA-2000R for NTSC systems and PAL systems are different, it's hard to change CA-2000R mode from NTSC systems to PAL systems directly. Hence, it's necessary to confirm the Video System in advance.

  5. Please go to our download page, www.ame-group.com/download.htm, to download the Windows 2000 driver for CU-98.

  6. Please do the following while having your CU-98A connected to a USB port of your computer:

    1. Remove the CU-98A from your Device Manager:

Find the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and click once on it --> right click your mouse and choose "Properties" --> once you are in the System Properties window, look for "Device Manager" and click on it --> look for "Imaging Device" and double click on it --> you should be able to see something similar to AME CU98A --> delete this device

    2. Remove the INF from Windows:

Go to the "Start" menu --> choose "Programs" --> choose "Windows Explorer" --> once you are in Windows Explorer, go to "View" and select "Folder Options" --> once you are in "Folder Options", go to the "View" menu and make sure you select "Show all files" under "Hidden files" and click "OK" to make such changes effective

While you are still in "Windows Explorer" --> go to the "Windows" folder (in this case the Windows folder is in C: drive and double click on it --> look for the "Inf" file folder and double click --> once you are in the Inf file folder, look for the "Other" file folder and double click --> find a file similar to AMECU98A.inf and delete this inf file

After you have done the above two steps, you have successfully removed the CU-98A from your computer.

  7. This problem is probably caused by other similar driver conflict. What you need to do is to click on VIDCAP and choose the proper device (camera) driver to use.

  8. Since Windows NT 4.0 does not support USB port, therefore, the CU-98A or any other USB devices cannot be installed on Windows NT 4.0 Server.

  9. There might have been a driver conflict that exists when you first plugged in your CU-98A in Windows ME. We would suggest that you remove the driver that you installed perviously, and reinstall again. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    a) Go to Windows Explorer --> Tools --> Folder Options --> View --> Hidden File and Folders --> Show Hidden File and Folders
    b) Go to Windows Explorer --> Windows --> Inf --> Other file folder --> JetCam Technology Corp. V.2.15CU98A.inf --> delete this inf file
    c) Go to My Computer --> Properties --> Device Manager --> Imaging Device --> USB PC Camera --> Remove this device --> Refresh
    d) Go to Start --> Setting --> Control Panel --> Sound and Multimedia --> Devices --> Video Capture Devices --> Microsoft WDM Image Capture --> Use this video capture device

After you have completed the steps above, replug in your CU-98A and select the disk to install the drivers, and NOT the one from Windows ME!
